Cloud

Our cloud-based software lets you monitor and control your grow operation from anywhere in the world, on any device. Plan out your grow with a recipe-based system, monitor all environmental conditions, and get notified of problems.

DATA COLLECTION AND VISUALIZATION

Information about the cultivation environment and the associated equipment is collected from a variety of sensors and stored in the cloud continuously and automatically. Current environmental conditions and equipment status is viewed on a live dashboard. A variety of reports and charts enable the cultivator to make intelligent decisions and react based on historical trends and insight into the current status of the grow.

MONITORING AND NOTIFICATION

The sensor data and equipment status is monitored 24/7/365. Anytime something goes out of the specified range, an alert can be automatically sent out to a list of personnel via text, email, or voice message. Appropriate staff are notified to ensure action is quickly taken to address an issue before it turns into a problem while reducing the risk of damaging or losing valuable crops.

RECIPE MANAGEMENT

Recipes are created to specify the desired growing conditions based on time of day and day of growth. All parameters affecting plant growth can be defined in a single recipe. Different recipes can be created for each unique strain of plant or growing area. Recipes can be fine-tuned over time to optimize the growing parameters.

EQUIPMENT CONTROL

The cloud software enables the user to control greenhouse equipment manually or assign a recipe for autonomous control ensuring consistent and repeatable results.

SENSORS

You can’t control what you don’t measure, so it’s important to measure everything that affects the plant’s ability to thrive. This is the first step in creating a controlled environment ideal for healthy plant development.

ACCURACY

Accurate sensors combined with data analytics enable the cultivator to make intelligent, data-based decisions and to understand the impact subtle changes in the environment have on the harvest. This visibility is crucial to getting consistent and repeatable results.

  • AIR TEMPERATURE
  • CO2
  • O2
  • HUMIDITY
  • ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE

INSTANT PROBLEM DETECTION

When plants are at risk, every hour matters. The earlier a temperature spike or equipment problem is discovered, the less impact it will have on valuable inventory. Nate sensors provide remote, real-time monitoring and notification that alerts growers about an issue before it becomes a problem. Our sensors make it easy to monitor conditions so the grower can maximize yield and minimize crop risk.

AIR QUALITY

Maintaining the air quality in a greenhouse or indoor environment is crucial. Fluctuations can stress or damage plants in as little as a few hours. Nate Air Sensors provide a cost-effective yet powerful way to ensure plants stay healthy.

  • Maximize plant yield
  • Ensure optimal growing conditions
  • Prevent widespread plant damage (or loss) from mildew, pests, or disease
  • Realize significant cost savings

EQUIPMENT CONTROL

Nate sensors work together with the rest of the Nate Controls ecosystem to provide fully automated data tracking, logging and cloud-based analytics as well as enabling closed-loop control of the plant’s environment. They provide all the key metrics for ensuring the air in the greenhouse or indoor grow is optimal for healthy plants.

CONTROLLERS

Accurate control of greenhouse equipment is essential for creating and maintaining a healthy growing environment. Our controllers provide precise and repeatable automated control reducing labor, reducing chance of human error, and increasing efficient use of water, nutrient, and energy resources.

TWO MODULES

Nate provides two unique controller modules: An Automation Master and a Relay Output Module. The Automation Master is the process computer that executes recipes and manages communication with sensors, grow lights, the cloud, and one or more Relay Output Modules. The Relay Output Modules provide the hardware interface to control greenhouse equipment.

QUICK START

Both modules are easy to install and maintain and are optimized for horticulture applications. The system architecture is modular allowing hundreds of Relay Output Modules to be connected to one Automation Master. Equipment can be wired to any available physical channel on any Relay Output Module and virtually assigned to the appropriate process output, providing maximum flexibility and customization.

AUTOMATION MASTER

The Automation Master is a powerful and intelligent process computer that faithfully executes user-defined recipes based on time of day and day of grow cycle. It monitors sensors and controller status and manages data flow to and from the cloud. It follows the recipe parameters to perform closed-loop control of the greenhouse equipment by sending commands to one or more Relay Output Modules to regulate things such as air temperature, humidity, CO2 concentration, irrigation times, and nutrients.

CANOPY CAM™

Canopy Cam™ is a small WiFi-enabled camera that mounts to your grow light, allowing you to check out every plant remotely, on-demand. Using sophisticated AI-based image processing, Canopy Cam™ can detect potential plant health issues, such as mold, mildew, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.

PROBLEM DETECTION

Get alerted to specific plants that are showing early signs of disease so that you know where to focus your attention. Remote plant inspection means less handling of the plants, reducing the risk of cross-contamination and damage.

Unhealthy Plants Detected

659g wet weight detected

YIELD DETECTION

By analyzing bud quantity and size, Canopy Cam™ can estimate yield every day, tracking the growth process before harvest. If something is off track compared to your typical grow cycle, you’ll have early warning.

FEATURES

  • Inspect your canopy from anywhere in the world
  • Detect plant health issues quickly and automatically
  • Estimate yield daily to track production
  • Attach to any grow light or other surface. It is powered by a USB plug and communicates via WiFi.

Grow Lights

The L3 is an intelligent, variable-spectrum, commercial-grade grow light.

BENEFITS

Improved Quality, Shelf-appeal and Potency – Variable spectrum gives you the ability to focus the plant’s energy where you want in each growth stage: leaves, flowers, resin, or stems. Significant improvements in resin density, terpene production, secondary pigments (colors), and THC/CBD potency can be achieved. Lighting recipes can be optimized for individual strains.

Industry-Leading Efficiency – 40% less power and 40% less cooling required vs. HPS or CMH lights for equal yields.

Holistic Facility Control — Completely integrate lighting, environmental, and fertigation control in one highly intuitive system. Fully integrated control allows light levels to automatically be lowered to reduce heat load when there is an HVAC issue.

Efficacy 2.5 µmol/J

Testimonials

“Nate Controls has become a real partner in our operations. More than a lighting provider, they have given us custom solutions that have improved our yields and our profits.”

Max

Nederland, Colorado

“The Nate Controls Grow Light provides the perfect spectrum for growing cannabis. My stalks are thicker and my flowers are denser than anything I have grown under HPS lighting. In addition to an overall healthier plant structure, I am seeing significantly increased levels of terpene and cannabinoid production. Pair that with the full controllability of each color channel independently, and there becomes no better option for me when it comes to lighting.”

Scott

Denver, Colorado

“Before I had the Nate Controls fixtures in my grow, my plants were stressed and failed to thrive. Within days of setting up the fixtures, the difference was night and day. My plants are big, healthy and look great. This next harvest will be my biggest to date.”
